Here I have to say one thing about a medical association. At present, Japan Medical Association is organised by only western medicine physicians but I think that it should be changed. It should accept folk remedy practitioners, too. By doing so, I think that it will be able to study and practice their individual characteristics and consequently establish medicine unique to Japan. It is said that Japan medical association has a long history. I think that it is one of the organisations that was established when Japan had accepted western materialistic culture indiscriminately during the Meiji Era. Therefore, it had no choice but to accept only western medicine physicians.

Having said that, Japan has to appear on the centre stage of the world now. In other words, we have to take on the role of world leader by creating our own culture since we were born as Japanese. So, medicine is not the exception. Needless to say, now is the time for us to create our own medical art. Not only that, we cannot solve the problems of national health, population and tuberculosis in a materialistic way called western medicine. Those facts are becoming clear. For those reasons, I propose that the present medical association must be reorganised as soon as possible.
